Serhat, it is easy as pie, because not only sellers are looking for shippers, but shippers are also searching for clients! Export Portal helps them to find each other and to collaborate with success. You can always have a fast access to the list of shippers - on EP's home page is a link to it.

    • The shippers are looking for you!

Export Portal is a unique web site, regarding the structure and organisation. It is a beneficial environment for sellers, buyers, shippers and manufacturers. The site helps these people find each other and create strong and profitable business relations. The export/ import process is impossible without shippers as well as the shippers do not have any value without constant clients and big number of orders.

Hello! Our company is specialized in oil paintings. We want to expand our business and sell paintings abroad. Could you please tell us if there are some restrictions regarding export/import of artwork?

I believe when some paintings are exported, these are verified on not containing toxic elements. If yours are OK, it's OK. Also, if some state paintings go in an exhibition tour through countries, the same procedure may be applied.

    • Art export is not as difficult as you think!
      11/23/2016 10:55 AM

Of course, there are dome difficulties in exporting art abroad. This happens due to the fact that, leaders of countries around the world have become increasingly concerned about the loss of national treasures - historical and religious monuments - and works of art that form their homeland's cultural heritage, and they have enacted laws to protect these objects and keep them within their borders. The exported art work is going to pass through a number of testings. The longest process is establishing the work validity and provenance. In the same time, the exporter has to prove that the art work is not stolen and does not influence negatively the country of origin's cultural aspects. You have to apply for an export license. The rules change from one country to the next, but that is not the only thing that could confuse the buyer or seller of art. The nations with embargoes and restrictions often have considerable black-market activity, and the sellers of this contraband may successfully persuade tourists that desired pieces are no problem to take out of the country. Be attentive while selling art works which belong to famous artists! It is much easier with your own art works. You just have to present the certificate of ownership.
